Great points Mandy,
I too think some of those *diets* call for more expensive foods.
It is easier to eat healthy every day on what we know so to speak
True on the organic as well ..
Think we've been doing this long enough ..
We know the ins & outs, wouldn't you say ?
Good we can do it & know it not cost us an arm & a leg :)

I said it doesn't have to be. For whatever more expense you pay buying fresh produce, you more than make up for by not buying the junk. Most of us already have what is needed to walk, bike, jog, jump rope, dance, etc. So many parks, college campuses, etc. have paths to use, you can even have a change of scenery without having to go too far by car. When DH and I are traveling, we take advantage of all beaches, nature trails, hiking trails, city sidewalks, etc. We've also gotten so we hit the farmer's markets and buy trail mix, or fresh fruit for our treat. You also need to study up on the healthier choices available in the food shops( frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, a Whopper Jr. with ketchup and mustard instead of a Whopper, share a side salad instead of French Fries; go out to lunch with your spouse or a friend instead of dinner and then share a bowl of soup and a sandwich, or a large salad. Ask the waitress to bring an extra plate or bowl. You wouldn't believe how much money this saves! It all comes down to making the right choices, not spending more money.

You're so right Bev,
It really does depend on the choices we make.
My goodness just the ones you listed can help us keep prices down.
That share a meal idea I totally love!
And yes buying helthier, less junk .. another terrific idea.
As I have said before ..
Like you said it is about choices .. and if we want to bad enough .. we can

I didn't agree with yes, definitely, but I do believe that it's more expensive to be healthy.

I voted that it does not have to be.

When I started my journey in 2006, I was thinking of what kind of workout that I could start with.

Walking was the answer for me. That was just to get me started. I did buy a few dvd programs, but

those are the ones that I want to keep so I can do them anytime. I did buy a few handweights but they

were later on.
