Thanks for the share Cappy,
Sadly I don't eat an apple or any other kind of fruit on a daily basis...

It's crazy that those who live in an area that has the produse charges the local population so much. Grrr...just infuriating. Our markets get a lot of apples from New Zealand and they are really inexpensive right now. Do your markets carry those? In

OMG! Aren't those Jazz apples to die for! I love the slight honeyed after taste they leave after each bite! We've only had them in our area in the fall and winter for the last couple of years, but hubby watches for them (He does the grocery shopping.)and always brings them home for me when they are available.

Hi Hugs!

Have you ever tried apple slices spread with peanut butter and then dipped in honey and oat granola? It's one of my favorite snacks for fall and winter. I like them dipped in my favorite fruit flavored yogurt, too.

Hi Mandy!

Doesn't that just slay you about the prices. It happens here in the U.S., too. I know I had an aunt in Phoenix, Arizona who used to complain about oranges and grapefruit. Here in Michigan she used to get beautiful citrus fruits for a really reasonble price. Out there where there are orchards, the people got the dregs that couldn't be shipped out, and the prices were outrageous! Her solution was to plant a couple of her own trees. I hate grapefruit from the store. It's so sour! Left to ripen on the tree, I ate one every morning and was in heaven. Amazing.

The imported stuff is sometimes cheaper but in apricot season I eat them till I'm ready to burst 'cos I just have to walk out into my back yard for them & we have 3 trees worth.
