How do you compare?

At the present moment in time
Society defines beauty as "thin"
But this hasn't always been the case........
Iconic women in past decades might not meet the skinny standards of today.......

Here's how they compare......

And I have to ask...........
Where do you fit it?

ETA:  it would probably help if I actually put in the link, huh?  :: blush ::

Well, even if bigger was better at one time, I'm guessing they didn't live as long as a fit and healthy women of today??

I read that a while ago, very interesting. I'd fit in alongside Marilyn Monroe(today's size 8 minus the boobs too lol.) I've got the curves that aren't going anywhere lol. No Twiggy for me- I don't think most women could ever look like that. I do find it interesting how her 16 back then went down to a size 8 in today's standards!

I am not quite sure where I fit in, I just don't believe if bigger was better at that time or skinny at that time was good. I think that we have to be a happy medium. I was a size 5 at one time and also a size 7, 8 and I was most happier at size 7,8. I felt great and I think that I looked good as well, my clothes look and fit good too. Will I ever be that size again???? that is a good question. I am going onto 62 this year and it seems so difficult for me to get there, I quess i really don't want it bad enough even though I say I want to be that size again.

Well..back in my day..heh..heh..LOL.......

I guess from the photos and sizes given, I mostly resembled Michele Obama's size with a smaller derriere. I was 5'8

actually a recent study done by the Japanese, found that people who are slightly overweight, i'm assuming 10-20 pounds .... actually live longer than people who are really really thin

i love being "thick" ... somewhat chubby but not FAT ... that's where i'm trying to get to ... somewhere around Amy Lee of Evanescence :) i love her body type ...she's a lil teeny bit chubby but not bad, that's my goal lol

Sounds like you and I have similar goals Monica.
I'm not interested in becoming stick thin again.
I'd rather have a few curves and enjoy my life.
