I forgot if I gave this idea or not...I may have, but here goes...


 


Walking


17 minutes reduces depression symptoms


17 minutes reduces colon cancer


18 minutes reduces coronary heart disease


21 minutes reduces stroke


30 minutes reduces Type 2 Diabetes

Those are awesome benefits! (does walking speed matter for these?)

I think it's important to remember these things, instead of always focusing on weight loss with walking as I tend to do.

I think as long as you are comfortable walking at what speed you want.


Now if I had read this when I first started walking, I would not have been so unmotivated.


I can still use this anyway.

Even if you already did post it Aileen, it's always great to have a reminder of how important exercise is for our health - it's vital to keeping us healthy and happy.
