Are you?

Casual walker-strolling through the malls or parks?

Fitness walker-using treadmills and brisk walks through the neighborhood?

High energy walkers- like racewalking?

Walk-run-who alternate walks with small runs to spike intensity?

When I was a beginner and first started walking, I think I was the casual walker. I did that type of walks for several months. Then I changed my walks to the more Fitness walks. I noticed the difference as I progressed. My doctor did suggest racewalking, but I tried that and could not do that. I now do the Fitness walk and I do the walkjogs, too.

When I walk am generally a fitness walker, but sometimes I like to take a casual stroll as well cause it gives more opportunity to enjoy the surroundings or for thought/reflection.

Another fitness walker! Strolling walks are good, too.

I suppose it depends on my mood. Sometimes I stroll, sometimes I fit walk and sometimes I jog (but not very often!).

Well you do the high impact workouts at the gym anyway, so it is alright to slow down your walks.
