Check this out & let us know what you think :)

Take Your Measurements

We eat several hundred extra calories more a day on average than we did 30 years ago. Where do the extra calories come from? In large part, bigger portion sizes.

If you want to know how much you're eating, try this experiment. Pour a typical bowl of breakfast cereal, then measure the amount in your bowl. How does it compare that to the serving size on the label? Do the same for everything you eat, and you'll see exactly where you can make changes.

This was good reading Hugs. I portion all my meals good. It is always good to read these things to remember.

Deciding to do it that way was best for me with the exercise. I have learned from here and learned by watching how my neighbors do it too. One does no portioning, one does calories, and one does Atkins.

I totally agree with you Julie,
People really have no clue on portion sizes .. how sad too ::sigh::
I think the general public really need to be schooled on this .
Then the kids as well .. it would really help.
Glad you do well with this :)

Well I know my neighbors have an understanding Hugs. It is just that they are so used to eating the bigger portions that they cannot handle cutting it down and do not want to. They admit that portioning is not for them, so in a way being active the way they are and eating the same amount is just keeping the balance.

Yes he is getting good at this Hugs. I asked him what happened to the last slice of meat and he told me he put it away.

At work he likes to get a Danish for coffee break. Someone buys him 2 and he brings home the extra.
