How to Beat Overeating
It's true what they say—television adds 10 pounds. A recent study shows that TV food ads directly correlate with an increase in calorie consumption. Before you swear off your TV, health editor at large Dr. Madelyn Fernstrom helps you avoid the television-induced munchies:
- Don't watch TV on an empty stomach.
- Have a low-fat, high-fiber snack beforehand.
- If you can, fast-forward through commercials.
- The simplest way—watch less TV.

Do you have xray eyes??
See I am not all that good....hmmmm...
Don't watch much TV but when I do it's in the evening and I rarely snack after dinner; Nope, I'm not a TV snacker anymore:)

Glad you portion though :)
Hopefully the right foods & not too much at once :)
Very good so do be quite pleased with you :)
It's the little things like him picking the show that saves us
A good thing :)
Never, I only have 3 1/2 tv shows that I watch and DH doesn't watch any unless he's peeking in on mine. We eat together at the dining table always for dinner. Breakfast and lunch we usually eat at our computers. So I guess you could say we watch the monitor while eating sometimes. The portions are already prepared and on our plates though, so no over eating.
When we watch a rented movie on tv, our snacks are chosen beforehand, portioned out, and we never add anything else to them.
Eating at home is never a problem. As you know, it's those darned restaurants that sabotage me. Wish we didn't love eating out so much..yes I do..no I don't..yes I do..LOL!!
Figured you'd do ok since like you said at home isn't the problem
Being prepared ahead like that is really wise as well.
Whther in front of the montor or the TV :)
