Okay its 10 pm. I have the urge to do something in the way of exercise. I am at home and no one to walk with so not sure what to do. What exercise would you do this time of night? Maybe I am feeling more restless than anything. But I would like your suggestions. I guess some people do sit ups before bed.

Stretches are good, and slow toning with weights or stretch band. Nothing vigorous or one cannot sleep.

Others will give you ideas. You can try them out.

Squats,

calve raises,

bicep curls

hamstring stretches

Thanks. Suggestions are always nice. My calves tend to stay really tight sometimes. I will look for my resistance bands tomorrow. Some gentle stretching sounds good.

Hi Julie,
Welcome to the board :)

Definitely perhaps not that walk alone at night,
Yes sit ups are always good ..
Or do you have a hula hoop ?
Another fun way to get those abs where you want them.
Do you have any exercise DVD's?
Maybe something to invest in as well for night time.
If you're looking for support & accountability ..
You'll find that here ..
As well as a challenge to help keep us motivated.
Take a look & hope we'll see you here again :)

Well, it's not suggested to do vigorous exercise at least 3 hrs before bedtime or you won't be able to fall asleep.

If you have the space, you can do walking lunges.

Julie, at night I would do something like yoga that is fairly relaxing - you don't want to do too much and then get wired and not be able to go to sleep.
