I voted for a combination:

  • turning down my old temptations
  • logging my food all or most days
  • stopping night time eating
And the biggest accoplishment is portioning!!

Basic hummus is chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, can add tahini (sesame paste) if you want.

One can of chickpeas would not be enough for us since we all like hummus & if we're in the mood for it, we can eat much more than that.

This year was my 1st time to try this and it is a good healthy snack. Not too fattening either so that is good.

Sometimes I run out of another spread for my bread then I use hummus...just as good.

It's not too fattening depending on what & how much is in it.

Look at that....I am giving you ideas without knowing it.

I look at the ingredients from the store...not too bad ...no palm oil, or bad hydrogenated oils, etc.

If you mean the new chickpea salad, the recipe is not mine.

I buy Sabra sometimes and Marzetti. Marzetti uses both oils ...I looked at the label.

I have never eaten chick peas just like that or in a salad either. I prefer the hummus way.

then how do you know you prefer them as hummus if you've never had them as is?
