Just for today, think of food as fuel for your body. Your food's purpose is not to make you happier or to distract you or numb you from feelings. It's to deliver nutrients to your body and give you energy.

Having been a member of Compulsive Overeating board for almost 6 yrs, I think, & a CL of it for 3, I KNOW ways to stop yourself from emotional eating/bingeing.

All of your ideas seem to have one thing in common -
They keep your hands busy.
I think finding some computer games can help keep you occupied.
I may have to look into getting a DS -
Or just "borrowing" one of the kiddos.

It's true we need to feed our stomach hunger,
But I never thought about journaling the feelings
behind the head hunger & heart hunger.

Most excellent idea for me Ludlam.

Thank you so much for that!

For me I play the Scrabble Game , Solitaire card games for the DS system.

Computer games are great too especially Bookworm, etc.

I forgot to ask...is your computer feeling better now or you borrowed your child's computer?
