1500 - 1700 if I'm only walking


1700 - 1900 if I'm running regularly.


I keep track on sparkpeople
But lately I've just jotted down what I'm eating in a notebook
And then check calories later.


I eat alot of the same things
so I know about how many calories are in them.

I want my calories to vary when I am losing weight. What I found to work out the best for me is to have two low days, two high days and three right on target days. That way my body can't get used to when it gets food and how much food it will get. If I am doing calories, I check the math with each 10 pounds. If I am doing weight watchers I have an easier time paying attention to high and low ranges and I don't really need to do the math to re-adjust my points because it will only go down by one. Since I am trying to go up and down with my daily target I don't need to worry about being that exact with points. Calories are a little different.

Either way, counting gets old. I know it is something I need to do to remind myself how much calories is in which food, but it gets old quick. I was able to do weight watchers for a year and I updated my food daily. I went as far as to plan a few days ahead so I wouldn't have to think about it. Any other time I try that, I just can't stick with it. We have ww at work now and I tried to do it, but it was so boring! I learned I don't like meetings. I had the e-pass thing and tried to keep up with that, but gave up on it, too. Right now to keep it cheap/free, I am using sparkpeople. Well, I am trying to keep up with using it. Some days I am real into the whole losing weight thing and most days I couldn't care less. That's why I am here. I need to talk about these things so maybe I can figure out what I can do with myself when I get to not caring.

I always suggest drinking more water
And eating more fruits and veggies.
Both have so many good-for-you properties
And help to keep you ful while you are losing.

Welcome to the board :)

Sounds like a good amount for you in a day.
What kind of exercises are you doing ?
In order to lose weight ..
We need support & accountability.
Both of those you'll find right here.
And yes drinking lots of water every day helps too.

I think that is a great idea how you do that !
Mixing it up a bit sounds perfect to me.
It does get boring to keep track, I know, LOL
Tracking on Spark People can help so you can see.
I use to write things down in a clorie notebook.
Eventually we just *know* how many claories things are I think.
As long as what you're doing is working ..
That's what is most important :)
