Still rolling!

I have done very well this month. I am surprised I am still able to continue. For over a year, each time I start I only last 3 or 4 days before the hunger gets the better of me. What I used to see as too much food wasn't enough any more. When I go out to eat I immediately cut my food in half to eat half then and the rest later. Well I was able to eat the whole meal and desert and go home and eat some more and all that on top of a loaf of bread. I wish I understood hormones better.

So I have exercised every day this week. Mostly just 20 minutes on the elliptical, but I did a video today. A Jillian Michael's dvd. If I knew she did so many squats I wouldn't have bought it. My knees can't take them. I just modify the squats and do plies (a ballerina's squat).

If you remember, I had surgery a month ago to remove endometriosis. I started to feel some pain in the area it used to be just this morning. Ibuprofen and not much movement here at work seems to be doing something. I really REALLY don't want to take vicodin daily again. I just got my body weened off of it. So, I think I am just venting and asking for prayers that the endometriosis doesn't return either now or ever again. I want to get my strength back for the next time it happens. Now I know what clues to look for and I can catch it immediately instead of years later. Here's to being healthy and fit!

Is it possible that the pain is from doing the exercise DVD?

Hi there....Oh my I think you are still recovering. Take things slow until Oct maybe. There are low impact workouts out there. I do them when I do not feel like doing the high impact ones. I have been working everyday on strengthening.

Sending you good thoughts and prayers for you.

It takes awhile for the portioning and to get used to it. If you are still hungry, drink a cup of water before the meals...I do.

You can do it. Cheering you on for what you are doing with the portioning and the activity.

Health issues aside, I just want to say WTG for sticking with it. I'm notorious for pushing myself too hard and did so on Monday. I took the rest I needed to recover and got back up again yesterday. I think that's all we can do. Listen to our bodies, but follow our hearts. Our hearts don't "love" that food. For me, I've found eating is such an emotional thing and I could eat all day long. Now I feel like I'm starving, but I know that I'm taking in a good number of calories...just happens to be about a third of what the emotional "me" wants to eat. I second what the others said about taking it easy and recovering. Every new day will make you stronger. Two weeks ago I could barely get through a twenty minute workout and yesterday I did twice that. Good luck:)
