I don't enjoy any sort of team sports (too many bad memories being picked last as a kid I suppose lol) so I'd like to try martial arts. I do bowl occasionally, which is fun.

I voted volleyball cause it's so much fun to watch dd's games even though hers are fast and furious. I would like to join an old lady's league. lol

Dh and I also like playing tennis.

  • Volleyball - would love to learn to play better, I suck at it!
  • Softball - love it, play when I get a chance
  • Soccer - love it!
  • Martial arts - Could give it a try, have been to a couple of classes w/DS, feels fun
  • Bowling - not a bowling fan, my ex was very much into it, and I was never good enough
  • Hockey - could be fun, but I can't skate.

I'd love to try martial arts, but afraid to with my bad back/neck, etc.

I voted martial arts. I've been to a few demonstrations and there were some heavier people there doing the demos. It is supposed to not only be good exercise, but good discipline, too. I even told DH that if we could afford it it is something I'd like to give a try. He said once we are clear of the financial bind we are in right now (some unexpected expenses came up at a bad time)he's okay with me giving it a try.

What I really, really wish is that I could find some place offering Tai Chi in our town. I've never even seen any advertising for that. I guess a couple of the senior centers have it, but it's not for the general public. Sigh!

Unfortunately, we don't do Netflix. I do have one tai chi video and I have a Richard Simmons video. I think I will look through the videos at the library and see if they have anything exercise video. If they do, that would be another way of previewing. Thanks for the idea!
