I hadn't heard of the TV series,
I'm going to the library later in the week with the kiddos
I'll have to try and reserve the first one.

I'm really obsessive about a series, I have to read it in order LOL

I'm here - AGAIN!
My name is Kelly

I live in the Chicago area

My goal for October is to get back on the wagon after a month of having fallen off. This past month has taught me the importance of being consistent in whatever I do. I haven't had a horrid month. And I did better than my old days of not trying to watch what I'm eating at all. But I've got 4 pounds I need to RE-LOSE (boooooo - hiss!) but I'm ready. I had my annual exam yesterday where I was forced to get on a scale. I had been avoiding the scale. Bad move on my part. But I had to face it. Yes, I was disappointed with a gain but it seriously could have been so much worse and I'm encouraged that yes, I can do this even if I've been through a bad spell. My doctor was a huge encouragement and I was able to talk to him about several things regarding wight loss and body image that I had been wanting to discuss. We also discussed weight loss in my breasts, I had been hoping to see more of it, and a possible breast reduction after I've reached my weight loss goals, if not before. They are a huge deterrent (no pun intended) to exercising and very discouraging so he was honest and said that I may not see any loss in them and probably won't know how my weight loss is effecting them until 2-3 months after I quit nursing. Knowing the truth is an encouragement. I'm good with the truth so I know exactly what I'm facing. So we'll add working with my "breast challenges" to my exercise challenges but I'm determined to stick with this. Okay - refocus. October goals - get consistent with exercise, get back to eating breakfast, portion control, hopefully resulting in a 10 pounds loss.

My "treat" is currently a candy bar. I need a new treat that doesn't cost anything!

Hi Kelly.
I'm glad the doctor was able to answer your questions,
And that you can make a plan for the future.
How much longer do you think you will be breast feeding?

HOPEFULLY at least 8 more months until the twins are a year old. But all my children have had a dairy sensitivity so if I can nurse longer, I want to try. If I take them off breast milk at a year, then I'll have to put them on formula or buy like soy milk or something like that and I kind of feel like why do that when my milk is fine and I'm still producing. We'll see. But at least another 8 more months. So we're talking like a year before I'll know for sure how my weight loss will effect my breasts. But I still have another 73 pounds to lose so I'm thinking long term anyway. He and I have discussed a breast reduction in the past so if nothing else it will be documented in my records that we've discussed it again so hopefully he'll be able to establish medical necessity for my health insurance to cover it.
