Something a bit different for the QOTW this week,
Thought it would be a good idea to *really*  put them *out* there ..
For everyone to see/know .
Making yourself accountable & sharing to help yourself reach it as well
So please tell us ..
What are your weight loss goals for yourself ?
How do you plan to acheive them ?
Let our *inquiring minds* know as always :)

For my height I should lose about 55 lbs,
But I've been that weight before and know I can't maintain it.
I think I should lose about 40 lbs to be at my best.

How do you plan to acheive them ?

By running at least 4 times per week,
and adding other exercise at least 2 days a week.
For me the biggest obstacle will be portion control
I love to eat, I need to learn to be satisfied with less food.

Least you have a plan Luz,
Now then maybe smaller/more meals/snacks a day would help ?
Think about it :)

What are your weight loss goals for yourself? To maintain 120 or below.

How do you plan to acheive them? Exercise at least one hour a day, portion, and drink water....

Well, at this point I have at least 60 lbs to lose. I think it's reasonable for my age/stage in life. Don't think I'd ever see the weight I was at about 16 yrs old. But I'll see how I'll look feel if I ever lose the 60. So that's my long term goal. Short term I'm working on mini goals of 5 lbs at a time. I was hoping for 5 lbs a month, but it hasn't worked out that way. So whenever I get there, has to be good enough. No sense putting extra pressure on myself. That just sets me up for disappointment & low self-esteem. I know it helps to have a time line in mind & I do, but it's not set in stone. Although, of course, I do feel disappointed if I dont lose on time.

What has finally worked for me, after a period of NOT working at all, is eating smaller, more frequent meals & snacks, not overeating, not eating late at night & moving more. Due to various circumstances, I haven't been consistent with that for the past couple of months, but I will keep trying. I know I cannot give up & just do the best I can when I can & as soon as I can after getting off track.

I know my plan will need to be tweaked at some point, but right now I will work on what I listed above until I have it down pat.

Hi ludam,
I think your plan & small goals are excellent!
You're right about not setting yourself up for disappointment or failure.
Looks like you are planning to succeed.
The smaller/more meals is a great way to go.
Remember to try & drink lots of water before eating as well.
Give yourself a pat on the back.
Being determined like you sound ..
Making a plan & doing your best is how you will succeed :)
