Having a Difficult time with motivation

Hi. I see a lot of new faces here :) I haven't posted in a while before this past week because of the crazy school year that I have had. I am having a difficult time getting back on track. I was losing weight for a while but now I am putting some of the weight back on again. The thing that is troubling me the most is that I seem to have absolutely no motivation even though I really want to lose the weight. It is so frustrating. Any advice for getting motivated again would be greatly appreciated.

I am right there with you Amy! I too, am having a difficult time getting motivated and sticking with my fitness plan. I guess my best suggestion is one I am going to try doing daily....and that is to post below in the daily "Goals, Exercises, and More" section. I need to get back on track and I need to do it now!

I hope to see you there with me!

When I wait for the "perfect" time to start eating well or exercising I find it never arrives.

Can understand how things can happen.

This weekend I did a smaller amount, but still did some workouts.

Today had to go to the post office, so I drove and parked. Jolked 5 min

round trip back to car.

I jolk in place for several minutes while making breakfast and that gets me going, too.

It must just be the Summer weather... I wouldn't worry about it.

i gained double the weight i was supposed to gain during pregnancy so i was really desperate to get rid of it. it took 10 months but i did lose all the baby weight by daily 40 min. walks, crunches, and butt work outs. now im not only back to my original pre-prego weight, i have muscle tone which i didnt have before.

my motivation? dont laugh...i wanted my DH to find me so sexy he cant keep his hands off of me (which is the case right now as it was before the baby). if i did it just "for myself" it wouldve never happened because i find eating icecream and playing computer games much more fulfilling than exercise.

I just ask myself if I would feel better spending 30 minutes exercising or watching tv. Exercise usually wins.

Self Motivation is a tricky thing...
Exercise is cumulative, and breaking exercise into 10 minute segments seems to make it more manageable for those people with really hectic schedules. I do know that the more a person does, the more they "want" to do. The transition between "have to" and want to" is gradual. Experience the accomplishment and the desire for more naturally occurs. Good Luck:)

Know and understand about self motivation.

My neighbors have that.

I had that at first when I first started to work out.

My swh would ask me how long I would walk and to him it was not

enough. I had to push myself to extend the walks longer.
