Then you MUST go to www.thepioneerwoman.com
I know I've said it before...but I'll say it again! I am still in the process of writing up the ISO, Aperture (already done and I'll post it in this section), Shutter Speed, White Balance tuts (already done and posted in this section)...but her site will help you more than I ever could. She is doing a serious on these settings in her photography section. She still doesn't have a forum on her site...so I can link directly. Here they are in order in which you should read them...

But again...make sure you read them in order. She is DANG funny in her writing and she posts pics to show you the difference. It wasn't until Crystal (clnheartsalot on SS) or Anne...they both told me about her site but I can't remember which one told me first, told me about her site that it all started to click. I had been reading and reading everything I could get my hands on and was SO confused. Then I started reading her site and read them a few times and all of a sudden BOOM...it all clicked. And I do believe that had I not found her site, I would still be very confused!
So I strongly urge you, if you have the passion to get out of Auto and creative zones, to take the time to read the links I gave you and the rest of her photography site! You won't regret it. You may have to read them more han once, but keep reading and you'll have your light bulb moment!

loved her website! great info, even if ALL my photos taken in MANUAL (yay!) came out dark. i really need to try outside first huh? i was fooling around inside and it is dark out so my lights are on. anyway, i will keep trying this whole manulal thing. i did shoot a bit in AV which i liked but a lot of pics were blurry b/c baron won't sit still. in tv mode they were better but some were dark? hmm not sure but i thinkj i am going to move on into manual and see how i do. thanks for the link.
