Oh, the baby measured ahead of schedule again. I am 12w3d, and the baby measured 13w0d. My u/s at 7w0d, the baby measured 7w5d. But the quick u/s I had last appt at 9w2d, I could SWEAR she said the baby measured 9w2d... right on track. Dummy me forgot to ask the doctor when I saw him after today's u/s. I also had my chart in my hand and could have checked, but didn't think of it until I left the office. Oh well, next time. The u/s techs (I had 2 of them today, I think the 1 was learning how to do the NT u/s) seemed h*ll-bent on making my edd 12/4, which I am against! I ALWAYS go 7-10 days late, and would prefer that not to turn into 2 weeks and be induced. So I talked it over with the doctor, and explained to him that I was charting, and I know when I ovulated. AF was 3/3, I ovulated right on schedule 3/17 (normal for my 28 day cycle). So, the doctor agreed that 12/8 is likely the correct date, and said its close enough to the u/s anyway that he's comfortable not changing it. Hey, if I by some strange fluke really am due 12/4, I can be pleasantly surprised and go into labor a few days before I expect to. :)
In a few weeks I go to the lab for the AFP blood test. This is the first time I will ever have taken it, because we just found out last year that my 16 yr old SIL has a mild case of spina bifida. My next appt is not until July 7th. I was due to go June 30th, but we will be in Florida then.
According to the doctor's scale, I have gained 1 1/2 lbs total. Of course, the first time I was weighed I was in slightly heavier clothing (jeans instead of capris and long sleeved shirt instead of a T shirt). At home, my scale reads a 2 1/2 lb gain, but then again, I am always having to readjust the little knob thingy, so who knows how accurate that even is. Either way, I'm doing well with my weight gain.
Guess that's about it!
