I think I understand what you were saying, on the "other word" you said you couldn't spell. It sounds like you got diskinesia which was causing that one type of shaking so they turned down your machine and now you are experiencing more Parkinson's symptoms like freezing (feet to the floor) and tremor.


it seems to be such a trial and error struggle to fine tune a decent line between Parkinson's Symptoms and Treatment Side Effects.


I hope they're able to figure it out and make everything better for you. They better start listening to you!!!

Sorry to hear you're having problems. I don't know, and can't imagine, how the DBS affects a person, but I do know the "freezing" sensations and know it's not fun.


I've been very fortunate in that my neuro has always listened to what I tell him I'm experiencing and worked with me to resolve the issue(s).

you are so right about how important it is that the doctors actually listen to us. Sometimes I think they're on autopilot and forget that not everyone reacts or feels the same. I've been fortunate to have a very compassionate neurologist, plus his physician asst,
