Wow, so much pressure to pick a good topic!

Here it is:

The name of someone in your life, past or present, who had a positive influence on you or who gave you great advice, words of wisdom, that you still use regularly.

Here's mine-

A= Ammer, who I was best friends with from 1973 until.......... We went through EVERYTHING together.

D = Debbie. My sis in law who passed away but taught me so much about life, cooking and sewing. She is an angel in heaven and I miss her something awful. I use the things she taught me every day of my life. :(

Great topic Susie!

F is for my Family. I know you wanted just a name, but my family are/were "people in your life, past or present, who had a positive influence on you or who gave you great advice, words of wisdom, that you still use regularly." I feel so grateful for the love and support I was able to receive from my family over the years.

Irene...that was my grandmother's name (my mother's mother). She was an amazing woman who became a single mom after divorcing her husband in 1934 and raised my Mom alone (in Washington, DC) until my Mom was 18. She then put my Mom through college. She lives forever in our hearts.

btw, my sister and my sister's daughter both have Irene for middle names and the family beach house is also named Irene.

J - How do I pick just one? I can't, so here they are:

Jim = My dad, whose favorite quotes include: "If you can't pay cash, you don't need it", "never be afraid to be your best", "It can't hurt to ask"

Judie = My auntie, who has always encouraged me to do better than I think I can, and who gave me the biggest ego boost when I was 18 by introducing me to her coworkers as her gorgeous neice! When ever I am feeling ugly, I think of this, and it does help, she had such pride in her eyes.

Jacob and Jeremy = my cousins who are just not afraid to be who they are!!

Jenny = Ashleys friends mom, she has lupus and has taught me that even though I have a chronic disease, I can still do whatever the heck I want to!

I have a lot more J's, but I have to get back to my......

JELLY!!!
