Once again, it's time for the FRIDAY FIVE. Play along if you wish, as we get to know each other just a little bit better. This week’s FIVE is about FEARS!

1) What was something you were really afraid of as a child?

2) Do you have any fears or phobias as an adult?

3) Do you have a fear you’ve conquered? If so, how did you do it?

4) What is something that you do that helps you to feel calm & relaxed?

5) What are your plans this weekend?

A safe & super weekend everyone!

1) What was something you were really afraid of as a child?

Fire (was so afraid of my house burning, it never did).

2) Do you have any fears or phobias as an adult?

Flying is number one fear now. I am an emotional wreak each time I have to fly and it gets worse w/ each trip I have to endure. I do worry about terrorism too, but I try to not let that worry me too much because then that's letting them win.

3) Do you have a fear you’ve conquered? If so, how did you do it?

I hate bugs, especially spiders, but our previous home had HUGE spiders in it and (as a single mother) I had to save my family from the evil Arachnids. First, I educated myself on Spiders. Once I learned how much good they actually can do, I made a deal with the spiders in the house "if I don't see you, you can live". I think I saw less spiders after that, lol. But I can do pretty well now killing a bug in the house. Facing your fears really helps. Just don't let me find one of the black widows that live in my current home (ACK!)

4) What is something that you do that helps you to feel calm & relaxed?

I love this Stress Release Lotion (eucalyptus/spearmint) from Bath & Body Works. I even burn their Stress Relief Candles for aroma therapy. We also have 2 lavendar bushes in our yard and that lavendar is so relaxing. Curling up with a good book by myself, too. Nothing works when I fly. I could be swimming in Spearmint, completely high on Lavendar with my favorite book and I'd still me an emotional wreak on a plane.

5) What are your plans this weekend?

Sleep. Older kids off to visit their Dad, husband has tickets to sit in the pit at a Nascar Race and I'm going to curl up with my toddler and rest (we're all fighting a virus). May go sailing on Sunday.
