I don't think you're a terrible mom at all.

>>>She described her pain as "gut ripping...like there is just a torso sitting here."<<<

I'm feeling her. I guess everyone deals with this sort of pain differently.

Ohhhhh (((((caly)))) Don't dare think you are a bad Mom. Your son chose where he would go.

you gave him an open invitation which I think was great! He knows he is not forced to be with one parent or the other. He might just want some Dad time.

You deserve to live your life too. It sounds like he (your son) is very understanding.

It also sounds like you have a very close relationship with him and he probably feels secure in knowing that he is welcome to stay with you and ting. He knows he can visit you and that you are not just tossing him asside.

Please do not feel guilty. He sees a chance for some bonding time with Dad, and knows you love him and will always leave the door open for him in your life.

No more guilt ms. caly or I will have to spank you.

I am a daughter of divorced parents who had to live their lives and I can still feed myself. My sister and I have always felt loved by both of our parents and we love them very much. We stayed with mom so we could stay with our friends. A few more years and he will be on his own too.

Hugs, Laurie
Laurie
