Tomorrow is Nony's first day at her first job in the UK!
Remember she went for the interview at the Garden Centre? Well, she got it and she starts tomorrow. She'll be doing just a couple of days a week during her term time but can do extra hours in the holidays etc.
I have to tell you, ladies, it's just the most gorgeous little place to work - especially with my Nony being such a flower fairy *w*...

Sounds exciting you two.
What country are you living in and which country is Nony from? OOPS. I just realized your little flag icon. Did you meet on LL board?

Thanks everybody, for all the congrats and good wishes!! I can already tell this is going to be a nice little job. The other employees are so friendly, a funny and eclectic bunch, I doubt I'll have any problems fitting in. It looks like the bulk of our customers are women just a bit older than I... lots of short haircuts ;)~
Hep, you're certainly welcome to come hide out there. It's such a large, sprawling place that I doubt you'd have any problems. Maybe you could do hammock demos?
I've only worked the one day and have probably already spent my earnings in my head. Gorgeous whispering grasses, riotously colorful hanging baskets and OMG... all the gift shop stuff!! Candles and scented oils, coffee mugs and tea towels, books and sparkles and trinkets... I'm going to end up owing THEM!!
And for you specifically Laurie; Lou and I live in Liverpool, England. I moved here a year ago to be with her, going to college for the 2 year student visa entry allowance. I moved from the mountains of Montana, but have also lived in SoCal and Arizona.
Almost four years ago, Lou and I 'met' on another board. We migrated here, along with a few others at the birth of LL.

Wow! How interesting a story. And a big move on your part. I would like to hear more about your move and how the change of living in a new country has been for you.
I lived in Spain for 4 years but, that was in the Navy so it was a lot different as far as being taken care of. I mean, I knew I would be coming home in 4 years and I had the military to take care of things for me, a base to go to and work on and a sponsor etc.
It sounds very exciting.
I have family in England and Wales but I never got over there while in Spain.
Some of my cousins have come here to visit though.
Well thank you for filling me in. I just love to hear about all the love connections from LL.
Hugs to you both,
Laurie
