Whatever is this country coming to? Can ya imagine... *lesbians and feminists* setting the agenda? The horror!

I take it this is a rather conservative school...

seriously, you help to knock down walls simply by being you, because they see you are not Medusa, and they will not turn to stone.

*sitting here mouth wide open in shock*

Yeah, see some feminists and lesbians at the women's conference. Wow. That's just astounding. Who'd have thought?

Really, wow.

*laughing*

That is strange... as a sociologist, wouldn't you love to be able to study the group dynamics of why they react this way to you? Do ya have an evil twin anywhere to take your place whilst you study the lot of them? BTW, from the pic I've seen, would second Courtney.

I'm no expert on other places, but have to admit my perception of Virginia was totally wrong. I just assumed it was a progressive place, and here we have these homophobic laws being passed. Oh well, this country has had to change their attitudes towards people before, and though it can be extremely frustrating, it is also kinda nice to be on the forefront of bringing change.

Make sure ya watch posting yer email and emailing yer posts to colleagues though... ;-)

and is Courtney going to get a mullet so she fits in around town?

OMG Kim! Well, rumors about me at work have been flying for quite some time, however, no one really knows for sure and my sexuality remains a mystery. I would rather keep them questioning. Why? Well, a butch lesbian was hired to work in receiving a couple of years back. She was openly out. Her looks and actions "outed" her as well. She didn't try to hide it. Each time she made a mistake, I would hear a coworker say, "That lesbian can't count." So, see when I make a mistake, which is few and far between, LOL, they say, "rj, you did this wrong." I prefer rj instead of "that lesbian."

But, come to think of it, I've not done anything wrong in so long, I could almost switch over to the perfect category. :)
