My surgery....

The V.A. called to reschedule my surgery from this friday to September 10th.
I am not sure if that is good or bad. I have been trying to prepare myself for this Friday and now another week of worry and illness. Ughhhh.
This has me so afraid. As some of you know I do not react well to anesthesia. They have promised that I will have a machine to keep me breathing and that if something goes wrong I would probably be on a ventilator for a couple of days. After which the Dr. followed that sentence up with, "No big deal." AAARRRGGHHHH!!!!!
Thank you all for the well wishes for this friday. I hope it won't be asking to much to ask for more positive thoughts next friday. I am really afraid to do this. But it seems that it must be done.
Thanks, and I hope everyone is having a good day.

"A few days on a ventilator" and "No big deal" in the same conversation is what they call a contradiction in terms.
Gotta love those docs!

(((((((((((Laurie))))))))))))) Of course it is not too much to ask for more good wishes and positive thoughts for nexy Friday. I can only imagine how nervous you must be. I have *never* (knockonwood) had any difficulties during surgery or anesthesia or anything, but even knowing that, the thought of what *could* happen is scary enough. So coming off of such a bad reaction like you've had, I can completely understand your concerns. Doctors can really be a bit worrisome with the things they say sometimes. Big hugs and lots of good thoughts coming your way.
Hugs!

Flip, Laurie! You have every right to feel daunted by it all, hon - this kind of surgery is a major thing.
{{{{{{{{{Laurie}}}}}}}}} I wish you the best of luck with your surgery.
