No surgery for me until after heart ...

echo stress test and a dopler test on my legs are completed and the results are in.

My legs are still swollen and red after a couple of months and very sore. Now it will be more than a month before any surgery.

Sorry for all the mess.

Never been so sick in my life.

Does anyone know if meds such as mood stableizers, anti-anxiety, and anti-depressants can cause problems like vascular desease or fluid retention. Also could be my diabetes I guess.

I just don't think I am old enough for all these problems and just seem to be going down hill.

Sorry to be babbling on like this. I am just so frustrated and worried about my health.

I used to only get sick like once every 10 years or so. Now I just can't seem to get better.

I keep blaming my meds.

My therapist (I saw her yesterday) said that I needed to go over to the VA Hospital and talk to the Dr. about my legs before I go through with my surgery. The Dr. said he would recommend waiting for the tests and results first and the surgeon agreed.

I am just feeling so down about my health. It is just one thing after the other.

If you are still reading this thanks for letting me wander and ramble.

Hi Laurie, medications do have some rather unexpected side effects. Just a thought, but have you considered a naturopathic for some of the medical stuff. I go see one for my thyroid inbalance and take natural supplements. That is how I have lost all the weight, with eating and exercise changes. I don't ever do medications, just natural supplements after a visit with the naturopathic when I need a fine tuning.

I will keep you in my prayers, take care , gracemae59

Hi gracemae,

Yes, I have tried a limited bit of naturopathics from my therapist and one of my VA Dr.'s.

I always hated medications, but I am kind of stuck by having to go to the VA.

My Therapist is really in to things like aroma therapy and guided imagery and not sure how to spell this but Reikim etc. We also do a thing where we tap certain places on the body.

I really enjoy how it does relax me.

I don't know if I really have a choice on the meds though, in order to get my treatment through the VA.

I just think the meds were the beginning of my major problems.

Thank you and hugs,

Laurie
