Hey ladies , thank you! Ollie , is a heinz 57, with some border collie, and whatever else she has. She is long hair, brown, black and a hint of cream. She is about 6 years old, I rescue her when she was a puppy from a not so good situation. I did do a bit of training, but didn't have the time, I guess in hind sight I should have spent the time. She is a sweet dog, but don't like men. I think if someone spent the time and energy she make a good dog. I have tried all the humane society in the northeast kingdom and some in NH, to no avail. I have been judge and criticized for giving her away from some the humane society has well. I was told by one well meaning person, which was a male, that I should take Ollie and leave the older dog behind, instead. I can't do that either, Jingles has been with me much longer than Ollie, and she has a bond with me. She was a rescue dog as well. Thanks so much for the feedback and if you want to email me my address is on my web site at ivillage. Take care and have a safe trip , too Sandra. Things have a way of working out and don't beat yourself up for making the choices you have. Have a great weekend! gracemae59

Oh Gracemae, mixed breeds are hard to place. Don't let anyone judge and critisize you for seeking a new home. You did what you could do for Ollie as long as you could do it. I love animals, and am too aware of the homelss animal problem in the United States, but we (animal advocates) have to remind ourselves that they are animals, not people, and people have to be the priority. It's such a hard situation. I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to HAVE YOUR PETS SPAYED AND NEUTERED, its essential. There are so many Ollies out there, the only thing worse is the cat situation, that is WAY out of control. OK, whew, back to your problem...do you have a picture you could send me? Email me through my profile if you have one. Sandra
