I can't believe those two poor American guys have been executed, beheaded, because of this flippin war. And now the remaining Brit's life is hanging by a thread - he's certain to die. Did you know that he's from Liverpool? That his family live just a mile down the road from where Nony and I are. It's kinda scary to think of how close this stuff can get to you.

I pray to god that some how, some way, there is any end to this nightmare of hostage-taking and rebellion. It's just my humble opinion, I know, but I think the troops should get their butts the hell out of Iraq and let them get on with sorting themselves out.

I am with you Loubie.

I just wish they/other countries and people would stop blaming us for the war. We did not start it. Just said, "Hey, enough already".

I agree, and hate to see people being held hostage and beheaded. However we are not doing that, the terrorists are. People need to see the violent nature of the terrorists, and stop blaming those who stand against them and their violent ways.

We have a right and a duty to protect our countries from daily bombing like they have in other countries.

Plus the whole world and especially the United Nations would not allow Bush to take over the oil.

However France and Russia were getting a lot of the oil money which is why they were so against us and I believe they are putting the spin on this. They were also illegally selling arms to the Iraqis.

I don't know, it is such a mess. That I have to agree on with everyone. I do feel much better after therapy and group. LOL.

Hugs,

Laurie

You will always be welcome and respected on this board. Though we may at times disagree on issues, the thing I like best about this place is how open and supportive we are. I think we make up a great group.

Thanks Pam!

Exactly how I feel. Freedom of speech and the right even the duty at times to question our government. So many countries do not have the freedom and safety that we take for granted.

And that freedom comes from men and women fighting for and defending this country.

Ganted it is not perfect, but I have been to many countries and I still feel like there is no place like home.

Hugs,

Laurie

(((((Hugs my little kitty cat)))))

That is why I appreciate the good people in this world so much more. And I have found so many good people here on the LL board.

I like the one day at a time thing when life gets tough.

I also enjoy having a safe place to write about the things that are on my mind. I have told my therapist about this board and how nice it is to have LL to come to during the week.

I also enjoy all the laughs, talent, and intelligence here. Never a dull moment that is for sure.

I hope that when you read the posts again you will not get down, just use them as food for thought.

I want to hear my kitty cat purring not sighing.

Take care cat,

Hugs, Laurie

There is also a Bill before congress for mandatory military service of all men and women between the ages of 18 and 26 to serve two years in the military or a or a civilian service equivilancey that would be in support of the military.
They have already made an agreement with Canada that they will not allow people of these ages cross the border during this draft. Billions of dollars have been set in a fund for this way of building or military.

Reading this totally freaks me out!!!!!..It brings me to tears, it makes me wish my sons to be babies again, it makes me wish I had not concieved them for their safety,it makes me
