I do now. I don't know that I really mind feeling this way. Actually, a huge part of me welcomes it.
Ever since this experience with my car, I don't really care about much. You know, I used to worry about not dating or not having my first kiss. I used to care so much about moving and getting my schooling/training out of the way so I could move on with my life. Now, I don't really care. I do still want to continue with school, but somehow I feel a calm and content feeling. I don't really seem to be interested in romance or even meeting someone. I don't know, but I'm just happy having a car to drive ( my rental right now). And, that seems like enough. It is like that is all I need right now is the assurance that I have a car to drive. Perhaps this is a phase that will disappear in a couple of weeks. And, I'll go back to yearning for those other things and not pay much attention to the luxury of a car to drive. I don't know. I really cannot say that I want the "mute" button hit. I think I like this simplicity.
I spoke with my car insurance company this week some. The damages to my car from the car appraiser is $2,703.04. I'll have to meet $250 of that. My car was towed on Thursday to the body shop. I don't know why my car stopped operating. I spoke to the insurance adjuster and asked her if it was determined that the accident didn't contribute to my car not starting would I be responsible for the car rental up to the day it was towed into the body shop. She said, "Under most circumstances, Yes, but in this case, we've waived that."
Thank God to whoever approved the waiving of that fee. :)
I signed a paper giving the body shop the right to order parts on Wednesday.
I'll have to admit, I'm getting a bit used to this Dodge Magnum. The stereo system in this auto is awesome. This morning on my way to work, I turned up the stereo, and I could feel the music pulsing throughout my body. AWESOME! I'll miss that about the car!
One wicked note. Wednesday, my Sentra did something very strange. I had to get my school tag out of the car. Well, this was about 5 pm, and out of curiousity, I turned on the overhead light. The overhead light worked. I tried the eletric door locks. They didn't work. I tried the electric windows. They didn't work. I went back inside my apartment. Around 8 pm, I was about to leave to go to the Y. I noticed a light on in my Sentra. I rushed to turn it off. Out of habit, I hit the electric door locks. ZOOM! They locked like they had full juice. I thought, WOW, maybe it will crank. I tried to crank the car. Nothing. I tried the electric door locks...NOTHING. Wierd! Everything went dead again.
Hey, I have this link to a cool movie--it's a joke. You may want to right click on the file and choose play in new window or choose a program. If you have Windows Media Player, you should be fine. Look for Monkey Joke. Enjoy!
If you don't see the movie, try this link...

I know exactly how you are feeling. I've been feeling the same way for a bit now. I'm not worring about my love life anymore ... when it happens it happens. I figured out there are more important things in this world.
Bad news hunny, I think your car is possessed ;o) LOL ! The electical system sounds like it has a short in it ( prob. from the hit ). I'm glad you like the rental boat.
Now off to check out the link you posted.
Huggles & smooches,

This Dodge Magnum rocks! Here's a link... http://www.dodge.com/magnum/
I have three words to describe it...AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!
Hey, my friend at the Y, he saw the Magnum and he said, "I think you should tell them to keep your car and you'll keep the Magnum." Gigi--when you turn on the AC in this car, it doesn't reduce the power of the car. WOW! Is what I'm screaming! Cool beans! And, this morning, the old song, "Oh, Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine, you blow my mind, Hey Mickey, Hey Mickey" was playing. I could feel the Mickey song in my butt cheeks. Life was good this morning. LOL

You know, I thought it was a bit odd. I mean, I thought if it were the battery, it would have gone instead of coming back and leaving. LOL
I hope everyone can view the movie. It is soooooooooo funny!

That looks like a hard hit to me.
Somebody must have some damage from hitting your car.
Someone scratched the side of our new car this week. Brand new and now has 4 short white scratches accross and one long one down just next to the drivers side door latch. no note nothing.
Makes you want one of those trains with the cattle things on the front to just plow everyone out of the way.
My car came with those speakers in the back of the trunk. Kind of funny. I get some major base though.
Sorry about your car I hope it is okay once the fix it. Make sure you check it out real good before accepting it. Make sure it is not out of alignment etc.
Take car,
Laurie
