Is Amanda with you? You could send her on a bike ride. lol

I wish I could bring you some btw. I would have a whole truck load so we could eat until we explode.

We eneded up having Cheeseburgers, I tried to call gf on the cell phone to stop for mexican and I hear her cell phone ringing in the back room. So...

I just don't know why they do not have Mexican delivery. I think they would have a huge business.

Can you go get some? Or no car? Or your sense of direction that you mentioned before, might not get you back home again?

Hugs,

Laurie

PS, Is this Kim's big weekend since coming out to her family?

Sorry to hear that about your baby.

Just keep her on a very strict diet. It really does make a difference at least for awhile anyway.

Is she on meds or insuline yet?

She has been on insulin since first being diagnosed. Though my ex was also diabetic (since age 5) I was a big chicken and would not do shots for her... when Kels was diagnosed, she spent the week at Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital, and we each took turns staying with her. They would not let her leave until I could do her shots. They told me the first night we would practice on an orange in the morning... ok, I can handle that. 6AM, nurse walks in with a syringe ready, hands it to me and tells me I have to give Kels her shot... no practicing. Oy. I did so, walked out the door, down the stairs, and out the door, in tears the whole way, walked around for over an hour to compose myself, then went back in. Since then, I've given her somewhere around 7,000 shots, not to mention checking blood sugar.

We're not really strict with diet, everything in moderation, know how it affects you, and adjust accordingly. The first couple of years were tough, because if a 2 and 3 year old does not wish to eat, it isn't easy convincing them otherwise!

Diet is so important. I have to check my blood like 3-4 times a day.

But yes I do eat just about anything I want to in moderation of course.

*hugs* back... we used to really have problems with reactions, one night I thought we'd lost her, she was in my arms, turning blue. It was a horrific night.

Oh wow! I bet. Once you get used to knowing what to do and how to eat and execise it gets so much easier.

It is just a part of life for me now. Like taking a shower, lol.

Hugs again,

Completely immune are ya? Are you sure about that? I can be awfully cute when I want to be :)

What's my mexican pleasure? Well since its calorie free cyber food, let's go with the whole nine yards... enchiladas (chicken and cheese), tacos, tamale's, cheese dip, rice, beans, and how about some sopapillas (sp.?) for dessert?

When should I expect it?

Nope, Amanda has gone to PA with Kim. Otherwise, I'm sure she would love to go get food for me ;-) LOL! That would be fun for you to just show up with a whole truckload of mexican food ~ we'd eat like crazy! The cheeseburgers sound good though. I wish they would deliver, at school we have a chinese place that delivers, but no mexican place. And I don't know what places around here deliver. I could go get some, I'm just lazy. And I probably would get lost and then I would have to just drive around in aimless circles till Kim got back and then I could call her to come find me LOL!, but really I'm just enjoying being a lazy bum this weekend and I would have to get dressed in real clothes if I were to go out. LOL!

Yep, this is THE weekend. Very big one.

Hugs!
