I *just* (within the last couple of hours) found out that I'm getting a roommate. Who woulda thunk it at the almost mid point of the semester? Not me! I really don't mind though, I'm pretty easy - going, but this place is a MESS. I'm *generally* a neat and organized person, but considering I go back and forth from here to

Good luck getting ready, C! I really hope you two will get along. It's good that you'll be able to meet her before she moves in.

Hugs!

Thanks Ting.

I'm not so sure how well this is going to work out. Not that I have any say. But... She's a deeply religious, conservative, Republican. She seems a bit high strung and emotional. Her and her RA (resident advisor - they make room assignments) friend were talking to me about all the problems that she was having with her current roommate and the room across the hall, and honestly I kept waiting for them to get to the really bad part. It never happened. The roommate just did not sound that bad. ~sigh~ This should be interesting. Her family (ALL of her family) are coming to spend the weekend and help her move in, I'm thinking I will be spending the whole weekend in Lynchburg.

Oh well!

Spend the weekend at Kim's and meet this girl on Monday. You'll be fine.

Hugs,

I know you are trying to be cute and endearing and all Robin... I'm having a hard enough time as it is with my 21 year age difference with Courtney.

Kim, I know what you mean, I love when my friends call and ask me what "the kids" are up to, referring to my daughter and Jen. They don't realize that Jen is here to see me, not my daughter, how humiliating. Sandra

I'm glad you said something kim...i find that to be a belittling term to call an adult and grit my teeth every time i see it toward Courtney

Sending lots of good luck vibes...at least you know there is an end in sight and you won't be spending much time there. Took me a while to find a roommate I clicked with. Big hugs!

I'm sorry it bothers y'all when I call Court that, I've been calling her that since I've known her. It's not to be cute or anything, it's just a nickname I gave her over a year ago. But if y'all have a problem with it, I'll stop.

That's exactly what it was/is, just a nickname I gave her a long time ago. But, if it bothers people I'm not going to use it anymore. I'm not one who rocks the boat intentionally.
