I mentioned in chat that I was having a lot of pain and going to the doctor, and I went today. He says the pain was that I had a gallstone and as my gallbladder is still inflamed is worried about infection and bursting and silly things like that, so I have to starve for 12 hours and have ultrasounds and blood tests tomorrow and then I will find out if I have to have surgery or not. If I have another attack, I have to call an ambulance and will have emergency surgery... I hope this isnt going to put me out of work for too long because I have just started the job, I dont want to let them down this soon! Not after they just gave me a pay rise and all... I have got tramadol to take for pain but it says "may cause drowsiness" - translated means it will knock me out for at least six hours and leave me drowsy for at least 6 more....
I'm sorry to sound so negative everytime I post lately. I dont mean to. I guess I just want to know it is going to be ok... but no one has a crystal ball. I just get tired of being the one who looks after everyone else all the time and when it comes to me, well I couldnt even get anyone to drive me to the doctor the other night.... oh well, maybe I will come back with better news.

Well {{{{{{{{{Ven}}}}}}}}}}. When you IMed me, I was willing to talk with you and you left ubruptly. Ven, you should take care of yourself. A gallstone is nothing to play with. I'm pretty sure your employer will understand if you need to take the time for yourself. Now, you know if you need to complain and be negative, then this is the best place to do it. That's what we're here for, right?
Hugs,

It really sucks because I told them when I took the job that I have hardly ever taken sick days because I am hardly ever that sick....

Sounds like you definitely need to get all of that taken care of. I had my surgery on a Tuesday morning and was back to work I think the next Monday, although I could have gone back on Friday. The worst time I had was the first 8 hours afterward. I was nauseous (I think mainly from the pain medication) and sore. The soreness will last a bit but will get better every day. To me it was nothing compared to the pain of a gall bladder attack. I had four incisions, one in my belly button, one at the top of my chest, and two on my right side. They were all small and healed quickly.
