Break Time!~!~!~!~!~!~!

Just sitting here at work, giving my eyeballs a break. I do this occasionally throughout the day. Just don't always have time to respond to anything, but wanted to let y'all know that I do lurk often and keep up as much as I can.

Okay, several of you asked about Gmary and Pcola. She and Lee (brother-in-law) went back last week and little sis stayed behind w/ the baby. Gmary is staying with a neighbor for the time being. I do not know what the status is on repairing her house, time frame or anything. At least she has insurance.

As for mom's house, well.....the floors were hard wood on a crawl-space slab (whatever you call that, the house is over 50 yrs old) so they are warped. The heating duct is about to come through the ceiling, the house is full of mold spores, the walls are falling apart, etc...basically it is uninhabitable so FEMA was contacted (since that house was not insured) and Lee has rented an apartment in a neighboring town until the loan goes through and they can find some honest & reliable contractors to do the repairs. No time frame on that either. Anyway Lauren and the baby will be going back on Saturday, and I can tell she is anxious to get home.

In other news, sweetfeets made the all A-B Honor Roll ~~~yippeeeeeee~~. Not much has changed with the situation with his dad ~~sigh~~. Little brother may be released in December ~~ummmm, don't know what my emotion is on that one~~, and my mom is not speaking to me right now b/c I made the mistake of mentioning a small, hard lump in the lower part of my right breast, figuring it's a cyst since breast cancer does not run in our family. I will go to the doctor and have it looked at when I have time, but my argument is that I was just at the OBGYN two months ago for my annual pap, and they had regular bloodwork drawn and everything, NOTHING out of the norm appeared. So, I am convinced that it's a cyst and nothing more. Mothers.....~~arrrrggggghhhhh~~!!!!!

Well, that's it for now. Hope everyone is doing well. ps congrats Robin!

Sadie, get off caffiene (no pop, no chocolate) completely and see if the cyst goes away, many times that is the cause. If its not gone in a week or so, or not shrinking, please go get a mammogram. Hugs, Sandra

Sadie,

Even people with insurance can use FEMA for living expenses and clothing etc, while their homes are being repaired.

Please get that cyst checked. My gf had breast cancer 2 years ago. It was caught early and she has a good prognosis but I am going to insist you and she get to a Dr.

She need a recheck and you need a check up. Better safe than sorry, the earlier the better.

Hugs,

Laurie

I hope your other brother is okay hun (((((hugs))))) back atcha. I would be climbing the walls if I were in your situation!

Yeah, I'm pretty torn about my feelings for my brother. This is the first time he's ever done actual hard time, even if it didn't seem that long. He got time served from being in the county jail for nearly 6 months, and apparently will be up for parole in Dec and is sure he'll get out on good behavior, which means he served a year on a 2 year sentence. Not bad I guess...I just hope it changed him this time for the better, and that it lasts and he gets his life together and all. ~sigh again.

OMG! Well, maybe after the meet & greet I'll try that (for Pam's safety heehee). That is definitely worth trying if it means I don't have to go to the doctor again!

Oh yeah I forgot! Lee and Lauren are getting $400/mo from FEMA for 18 months to assist in rent/new furniture/etc. And mom did qualify for $40,000 in reconstruction to the house. So I am sure all will be back to mormal within 2 yrs.

Okay, I will try Sandra's advice first. I absolutely loathe going to the doctor. I hate needles. I hate the blood pressure machine. I hate those little gowns that I can never tie correctly so I always get a draft. I gag at the smell of those wooden tongue sticks, they don't even have to be in my mouth. But if the caffeen deprivation does not work, I'll go.
