I have had an absolutely fabulous birthday weekend. This was the best birthday ever. Kim went out of her way to make this day special for me. She came home early from work on Friday and walked through the door bearing pink and purple tulips - my favorite flowers in the world. While I was still glowing over those, she left the room and came back with presents! I was not expecting anything, our rings and tattoos were supposed to be our birthday presents. It was so exciting though to have something to open. I got a very nice Discman and pedometer (we are on get healthy plan together {see this post on LI} and she knew I planned to buy these things myself when I got my paycheck, so this was a nice surprise. She also got me a beautiful journal, what a meaningful gift. My writing used to be SO important to me, and I really do miss journaling. Maybe this will prove to be the trigger that gets me back into a writing muse frame of mind. And I got two absolutely gorgeous posters by photographer Judy Francesconi, a great lesbian photographer. She got Dreams of Desire and Bound, two of my favorites. I got the sweetest card ever. Afterwards, we went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse (YUM!) and then to see The Forgotten, it wasn't quite like I was expecting, but it was pretty good. What a wonderful day.
