I don't know if you all have heard but the Federal Court ruled NOT, I repeat NOT to illegalize gay and lesbian marriages.

The vote put before them was to Federally make gay marriage illegal and it did not pass.

It may be a small step but it's in the right direction!!

YEAH!!!!!

Well, it's a step in the right direction. I love to see progress. I hope that someday our Grandchildren say, "Grandma, is it true that same sex couples weren't allowed to get married before?" and I can say yes, and then my grandchild will reply "That was stupid" and I can say yes, it was.

I just read that Spain legalized same sex marriages! Now we can legally marry in Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands. Also, in Mass., if you are a resident, you can get married too! We're gettin' there! In Spain same sex couples can adopt children now and they are changing the wording on official documentation (like surgery authorization forms, loan apps. etc..)from husband and wife to parents or partners. Cool! Sandra

Sure looks that way, I also just read that in NY the patient bill of rights will now include same sex partner visits!

I must live in La La land.

Even in nursing homes staffed by the most right wing people, no one would dream of denying same sex partner rights.

It's the transgender issues over which I keep finding myself butting heads with my fellow healthcare workers.
