Melrose Place Marathon?

Does anyone remember Melrose Place, the night time soap? Well, there's a Melrose Place marathon on SoapNet. OMG! The storylines are so cruel. LOL Cheating, backstabbing, etc. So, being the sheltered middle aged woman I am, I thought we could have our own Melrose Place marathon if anyone wants to. I've only been in one relationship in my lifetime and that was with a man. So, I haven't much to share. Sorry. But, if you ladies feel comfortable, maybe you can share a true story of a lover, partner, or whatever doing you wrong.

OMG! I know this is drama TV, but after watching several eposides of this, I wonder if I ever want to date. LOL I mean, trusting people is a difficult thing for me. I have trouble with complete trust.

So, if you feel comfortable, share a story. Thanks!

OMG I was a die-hard MP fanatic! It was a spin-off of 90210 (another guilty pleasure of mine). Oh and Courtney Thorne-Smith wowza! One of the few femmes who I could actually see myself corrupting LOL! Yeah, I followed that show from start to finish. Heck, one of our local radio stations had a weekly recap of the latest episode, and they would play a parody-type song of Sheryl Crow's "All I Wanna Do" and insert "Watch Melrose Place until I die" instead of "Have some fun until the sun comes up..." I actually don't remeber the exact way they did it but it was hilarious.

Okay, my ex husband could definitely qualify as a character on that show. Well, maybe not...he's too hateful even for those back-stabbing characters. He would've been killed off fairly early I think. Maybe my high school bf, who stopped talking to me 2 days b4 prom. I already had my dress (which was $400.00 and not returnable). Apparently he had started hanging out with a 25 y/o bar maid at this hole-in-the-wall joint who he took pity on b/c she had never been to a prom. So he decided to be her night in shining armor and took her instead. Well great, now I've never been to a prom. Anyway, justice was served when they got to the dance. None of the other kids wanted to hang out with them b/c she was comsidered "old", so he had a rotten time. And you know he HAD to call me a week later to see if we were still good and whatever. Hah.

rj, if I could write a soap opra about my life, I would be famous. Remember Lives of the Rich and Famous? Well, mine would be Life of The Lower Middle Class of the Famous.

I've been through too much to even attempt to post here. My mom said, "Gigi, you could write a book and it would be a best-seller!" All I could do is laugh and agree. But, briefly, and I know that this soap was way before my time, but Peyton Place, would be a good describtion of my personal relationships. Ex. Being in love with someone that doesn't love you, or having a baby out of wed-lock (not me), multiple relationships, etc. But all in all, I've learned a lot from my past life to know that no matter how long it takes for a relationship to come together, eventually it will.

Thanks for the post!

Hugs,

Sebastian

Actually, I never watched MP until now.

OMG! The high school boyfriend shouldn't have gone back on his word! It is odd in how while you are in high school what you consider to be old. LOL I wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes when he called you back!

I attended one prom. I wasn't impressed. They are okay I guess.

Thanks for sharing!

"Being in love with someone that doesn't love you"

OMG! Gigi, you just described me. LOL I have yet to be lucky in the love department with women. There's no, "See loves me, she loves me not," because I can almost bet she'll not love me! LOL

Thanks for sharing!

My first true love was a girl names Amy, she was a grade below me in High school. She liked me too until this jock girl named Nancy, who was supposed to be my friend, stole her from me. I swore off woman forever! It took me 18 years to finally admit again that I prefer women. She broke my heart. There's my sad story, now don't you all feel sorry for me? LOL Sandra

Actually, yes I do feel sorry for you! A broken heart is never a good thing. I've had my heart broken many times by women. I feel like a reject! LOL Anyway, I think my next attraction should be a woman closer to my age. All the other women who have broken my heart have been much older. I guess older women just don't fancy me. LOL

Correction.... hehe :) I'm 33. You are....34 or 35?

I actually dread 34. I don't know why. I've been telling myself that at the age of 34, I'll be a college graduate. I'm doing this to make 34 seem more appealing. LOL
