Melrose Place Marathon?

Does anyone remember Melrose Place, the night time soap? Well, there's a Melrose Place marathon on SoapNet. OMG! The storylines are so cruel. LOL Cheating, backstabbing, etc. So, being the sheltered middle aged woman I am, I thought we could have our own Melrose Place marathon if anyone wants to. I've only been in one relationship in my lifetime and that was with a man. So, I haven't much to share. Sorry. But, if you ladies feel comfortable, maybe you can share a true story of a lover, partner, or whatever doing you wrong.

OMG! I know this is drama TV, but after watching several eposides of this, I wonder if I ever want to date. LOL I mean, trusting people is a difficult thing for me. I have trouble with complete trust.

So, if you feel comfortable, share a story. Thanks!

Rose,

Don't feel like a reject, you have to kiss alot of toads before you find your princess! (I altered that old saying a little to work!)The right woman will find you when the time is right.

Hugs, Sandra

rose, I turned 35 this past april. I hated that day, even though I got lots of presents. But now I am ok with my age - it just took a while to accept. sandra

Pam, Me too! I don't think I will ever get over it. There's an old song called Amy by Pure Prairie League, it's one of my favorites. I generally hate country music - but the words to this song are perfect to remind me how depressing it was to lose her. I think you never get over your first love. Jen is far more attractive than Amy ever was, but there was something about her....she looked alot like Julia Stiles and she was a softball pitcher. My Jen is a softball pitcher too - did I do that on purpose I wonder....hmmm? There's something to think about! Sandra

I think the thing that really killed me was I have never since met another woman that I felt I could open up to so completely, and love no matter what her faults.

You know, though nothing really happended between Lucy and I, the whole experience surrounding that really did a number on me. The head pastor telling me that I wasn't gay. And, Lucy not forgiving me. It left me with a real complex, which BTW has taken a couple of years to break out of. Truthfully, when the Neil Diamond music is turned up, and I begin to shed a tear, I honestly wonder if it has ever faded and could be buried beneath an internal organ--the complex.

For me, I see myself as being like Pam's cat. Well, not exaclty like Pam's cat. But, in the sense that I have trouble with trusting people. It takes me a while to warm up, so to speak. As they say in horse caretaking jargon, 'I'm head shy.'

I think I did slightly get off the subject. Darn worn out brain. :) Anyway, what was I going to type. Geesh...wait... Oh, yeah...I think Lucy was gay and hiding it. Well, I don't have proof, but my gut says so. Who knows. Long story. I'm still planning on writing a novel about it one day. I'm not joking about that.

You are right it does take time. You know, timing is everything. It has taken me a while to get comfortable with some aspects of my sexuality. Not being comfortable with being gay isn't a good thing to bring into a relationship.

I had a really rough time with turning 30. I can remember feeling so down. I guess because I knew that 20 something was gone forever. But, you know what? My 30's have seen much more success than I ever saw in my 20's. I'm so much more mature. I'm able to make better decisions. I know more of what I want in life than I did then. Plus, I know myself better than what I did then. Not to say that everyone has that same experience, but for me the 30's so far have been a blast!

OMG! Now you and Sandra have gotten Anne Murray in my head.

Every now and then I cry

Every night you keep stayin' on my mind

All my friends say I'll survive

It just takes time

CHORUS

But I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart

No I don't see how it can if it's broken all apart

A million miracles could never stop the pain

Or put all the pieces together again

No I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart

No I don't see how it can while we are still apart

And when you hear this song

I hope that you will see

That time won't heal a broken-hearted me

Every day is just the same

Playin' games, different lovers, different names

They keep sayin' I'll survive

It just takes time

CHORUS

Time won't heal a broken-hearted me

Okay, if you want to know what rj looks like now, just imagine Snoopy on top of his dog house crying. LOL
