Date night?

Kim and I have date night once a week, almost every week. We feel it is a very important time for us to reconnect as a couple, take the time to just stop and breathe for a moment. Although we see each other almost every day, during the week I don't get home till about midnight and she has to leave for work at 7:30 the next morning - so though we see each other, and LOVE that time together, date night is our one night that we actually have plenty of time, can take things slowly, and just be together.
Which leads to the question...
We go to dinner every week and then sometimes a movie afterwards. I really enjoy doing this, but would love to surprise her with something new and different sometime. But...
I'm drawing a blank. Completely. I've been thinking about this for a couple of weeks, and I just don't know what to do. I need ideas. And you don't need to be coupled to offer your thoughts on this. I'm looking most especially for CHEAP ideas. A splurge now and then is fine, but... ya know.
And don't worry,

Great suggestions Gigi - thanks so much. I like the drive in the country idea. We have the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway here and the leaves are already starting to change colors. That would be a very lovely and romantic thing to do.
Fresh fruit is always a good idea!
Thanks!

There are lots of options here, I've just had trouble finding them. The festivals sound fun - I don't think our personal guitar player would ever perform in front of a crowd though. I can't even get her to play for me ~sigh~ :(

Great ideas rj! Some woman is going to be very lucky to be with you someday.
A romantic dinner is always a great idea. I have to modify it a bit though, bu finding great takeout or something. I can't cook. But an at home romatic dinner with wine and candles is wonderful.
Anything with flower petals is a great idea :) :)
Mutual massages our one of our very favorite things.
Thanks rj! Great ideas!

Bowling is actually something we have talked about. In fact I could start a whole 'nother thread on that, cause another thing I'm trying to always think of are things that the three of us can do together as family time. (Besides shop!! - Amanda + me + Victoria's Secret + B&BW = OMG This is a good idea only in very limited amounts lol!) Bowling is something we've talked about all going out to do somethime. Great idea Caly. And like I told rj - massages are always a good idea :)
Thanks!

Wanna come cook a romantic birthday dinner for us? And then clean the kitchen while we go try out that dancing in the bedroom and massages that rj mentioned?
>snicker<
Well, it was just an idea...
