Here is the scoop ladies & I have been up since 3 am, as I have so much whirling through my head with stuff, I think I will have to call this a bump in the road :)~sigh~,so the job and apt. that I applied to ,is not happening. The cat that was suppose to go to the nursing home isn't, the dog that was suppose to have an interview, it ain't happening ladies, lol! So I am 10 days from closing on the house, part of the apt. problem is two fold, credit good/bad, but I offered a letter of explantation and yes, I will have $$. The other not a major problem, I do have the one dog I am taking, she is about 65 pds.

Here are my options, give me input please.

1. Do I start the search all over for an apt. in Roanoke, I simply can't show up without a place to live, $$ wise it is expensive to live in a hotel long term & few if any take pets

2. The job I can wait on, I can set aside some money to live on

3. Or , do I take an adventure trip, meaning, I have to travel through Mass.,New York, Conn. Penn and then to Virginia. Just pack everything and go, and stop in all states for a few days and explore the area for living and job opportunities.

My friend doesn't have any ideas for me who lives there, her and her husband just put their house on the market and moving to different part of Virginia.

I count my blessings that everything else has been going as plan, I will start taking the cats to the vets to be place for adoption on Monday. As for Ollie, I guess I will give a last ditch call to the animal control officer for the town, if not , then she has to put next week. Everyone have a great weekend! gracemae59

Whereas Virginia is booming right now, all of that growth is in northern VA, near DC.

Gracemae,

I do not know your circumstances behind the decision to relocate so you might disregard my suggestions but here they are...

Build the best resume you can and post it online, there are several places like monster.com and careerbuilder.com (or something like that), move where the best job offer is.

Moving with pets is tough. My sister could not find me a clean place to live that allowed pets, as a renter that is. One of my dogs is going to my parents and the other to my sisters, until I can move again when my lease is up in a year. The things we do for our animals....

If you aren't moving to be closer to someone in particular, and not traveling with too many things, then I guess your road trip wouldn't be unheard of BUT wouldn't that be a little scary? Maybe you should stay where you are, rent a place until you know what to do. It would save you money, gas is really high to be just driving around....

You can "look at" lots of cities online. There is a Chamber of Commerce almost everywhere, check out top 10 places to live in the US and see what you can find out.

I am really worried about you, keep us posted!

Hugs, Sandra

(((((((Gracemae)))))))

You strike me as a very resourceful and adventuresome soul and so I am going to advise something a little different than Kim and Sandra.
