I finally told my boss today that I needed Thursday - Tuesday off instead of Friday - Monday. SHe completely forgot that I had vacation comming up to begin with, but said that was okay (after having a mild heart attack). I will be taking mom's car to work tomorrow to get an oil change, tire rotation, and detail (we're switching vehicles since her's is more fuel-friendly). I haven't packed anything yet, in fact I have like three loads of laundry that need to be done, and I have no earthly idea if my attorney has contacted the bankruptcy court to change my scheduled appearance. I swear my life if from minute to minute instead of day by day sometimes.

Anyway. it's been a rotten day. My mom has been here, sobbing since I got home over Eddie's friend that passed unexpectedly last night. I'm saddened by it too, but not surprised.....one day Eddie will bury enough friends and realize that he could be next. Actually this one is really depressing since he's incarcerated and can't even attend the funeral (he was a pallbearer not even a year ago for another friend who also passed from drug-related issues), not to mention that he was tighter with this friend...~sigh. Mom's really worried about him right now, and she has no way of contacting him except for visitation next weekend, and he does not have phone priveledges so.....we don't even know if he knows yet, which he might.....damn. Anyway, off the depressing stuff...

Has anyone else caught an episode of Desperate Housewives? I'm totally hooked. I think I have a thing for Felicity Huffman now ;^).

Also looks like mom may not get the FEMA loan after all. Dad was suppose to file her taxes for last year but never did, and he can't find her W2, which means she most likely will not get her taxes filed before the application deadline (there's a box on the app that asks if you're delinquent in any taxes, which at this point she is). Lauren & Lee are in thier new apartment out in Milton now, and Lee promised to drive by Deb's (fllatebloomer) house one day this week, since the land lines are still down in most of that area I have been unable to reach them. If he finds anything out, I'll let y'all know asap.

So, echoing one of Pam's recent posts, any advice on what I should pack?????

I'm panicking! I'm officially PANICKING!!!!! Okay, I started packing. I have two piles - one for "definitely taking" and one for "maybe". So far, everything is in the "maybe" pile b/c I can't find a damn thing I planned on taking (except for makeup and toiletries). I cannot find two shirts and a belt. The belt might be under the bathroom sink- haven't checked there yet, and one of the shirts may be downstairs in the laundry but I don't remeber seeing it so I don't think it's there. Gawd I hope I didn't leave it at someone's house! Ahhhhhhhhrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I think I found 2 pairs of jeans I planned on packing, but I don't know where the third pair is (hopefully also in the wash). Aie! Found the belt (it was under the sink). Now if I could just find those freaking shirts.....I'm thinking I may be running around Va in socks and underwear at this point.....

Just went to put the laundry in the dryer, and I have declared the shirts and the jeans MIA. Calling sis now to see just how much of my stuff she made off with (not that she'll fess up), trying to determine where on earth my clothes are! *SCREAM*
