Who do u vote for?

I have had very mixed emotions on this election to the point that I decided not to vote but tonight turned that around. IMO, you do not want to vote another person into presidency during a war that he has started. What is the person going to do? "OK, I am president, come back home and leave all the deaths and hardship behind. IMO, that does not solve all the problems and deaths occurred from this. Tonight, it finally dawned on me that Bush is against same sex marriage and Kerry is offering at least a none judgemental insight. My background from family and school is that Republican's don't want to spend money but Democrats do. If I met Bush on the corner, he would be the likely person to start a conversation and enjoy it. Kerry I feel would not. But in the long run, Kerry is not against gay marriages. God, help me. This is the worse election I have been thru. Any comments from anyone?

Well, in my opinion, and that's all I have to offer, I think I would want a President that generally has experience on the battlefield and not be a coward and hide behind Daddy's coat tails. And I would like to have a President that's not going to run the country based on his religious upbringing and try to point the other finger to other belief systems that he doesn't think are just as good as his, or, I wouldn't vote for a President that went after the wrong dictator and let the other go and hide, so that he can keep his real agenda hidden under the guise of patriotism. I can't see letting a President stay in office, while, ignoring the very people that needs the help, and programs to stay afloat, just to live day by day.

I simply can't see it.

That only two people answered this. Politics always seems to be a hush hush deal when admitting who and why u are voting for them. What will we do to you? Cast you out and not speak to you. Come on people, I know there are alot of head strong people in here. igentle and musclvr66, good points from both of you. Truth from me, I watched a bit of the debates and I watched Bush hesitate a few times answering. And I also noticed Kerry does not have a plan but IMO at least Kerry is somewhat for the gay community. His daughter is gay. Do I want a president to ban same sex marriage or one that may choose a better idea. Again, u should never vote for another when a war is on. So confused on this. We all have causes and hesitations on this years vote. IMO, this is like the year Nixon was running for president. Input please!

I have no hesitation expressing my political views as I am a very head strong and opinionated liberal feminist democrat who will vote for John Kerry without even considering an alternative vote for that man (read:

Scarletter, this is what I was hoping for. I feel you are right on all counts. Anyone else have a hard core reason to this circus of voting?

Hi buterfli,

I have come back and forth to this post because I am having a hard time with both candidates.

I watched all the debates and I have a problem with both sides.

I think I will have to go with Kerry because Bushe has nothing to offer me.

As a veteran I have a problem with Bush because of the way he takes money from veterans programs if he can get away with it.

I think Kerry will be more sensitive to the veterans programs and the gay issues.

I am not sure what he can actually do about Iraq. He said we must fight a gentler war but how can you fight a gentle war and win or be strong.

But I am thinking I have to vote for kerry because of all the other issues he at least speak of.

Kerry's senate track record is not that great either. So I hope he is not talking out of both sides of his mouth.

I just don't think I can take another 4 years of Bush. He is supposed to seperate religion from state but he doesn't and tried to change the constitution. He is very scarey.

whenever he says he is for rights and freedom for all people I always finish his sentence with, "as long as they are heterosexual christians and believe exacly as I do."

So that is in a nut shell why and who I will be voting for.

Hugs to you.
