Kim, It was not by accident that you ended up in his particular office, IMHO. I am so glad you found someone who can say "I understand" and genuinely mean it. I'm keeping you all in my prayers....Sandra

Wow! God really does work in mysterious ways.

Amanda should be able to bond more with this guy and I hope you and courtney will be able to have more of an open communication with him.

So far it sounds good.

Do keep us posted.

Hugs to you all,

I'm glad you were able to find a therapist who understands. My partner and I are wanting to take my partner's daughter to someone, she has been having some behavior issues at school, but we are concerned about stumbling on someone who is not gay friendly. Its hard to know what to do.

Welcome beach! Contact your local PFLAG chapter, or visit their website for a list of GLBT friendly counselors, they will tell you who to see.....hope to see you here again! Sandra

Thanks Sandra. That is very good advice. I've gone to PFLAG for other things in the past, but didn't think about getting therapist advice from them. Thanks again!
