Hi Sadie,

I am pretty sure they mean it as a derrogatory term towards us. Like they could not use other words that might be offensive to other people of color, race and religions.

If they show them on TV, they stand a chance of someone trying to sue them and making all kinds of hate and discontent.

I have done some stand up on TV and radio, and trust me they go over your material with a fine tooth comb, unless of course you are on certain cable channels that allow it.

I want to believe this is what they mean by offensive. Offensive to us. Which could cause problems for them if they allow it.

Hugs,
Laurie

Well. It does seem a little silly of them really.

But I do have to say, I've never liked that term personally. I wouldn't ever used it, and I don't really want it applied to me. >shrugs< I guess we all have our different opinions od different words and terminology.

Hugs!

Some people are so touchy...there are very few words in the english language that would offend me. They are just words, and only have power if you allow them to. Some people need to lighten up, IMHO. Sandra
