I was listening to the Jeff and Jer show on my way to work yesterday morning and was horrified to hear this.

I'm puzzled at the masses who voted for Bush because of his "values." A man who got us into a war based on deception and misrepresentation. Ah, but lying doesn't represent one's values, now does it? Apparently, The Cowboy's stance on gay marriage increased his "values" factor tremendously.

Yes, how simple that, "Do unto others."

Well, indeed this guy could have been gay.

I've always been pretty generous with waitstaff... most work hard and in fact are asked to do a great deal... sometimes someone will complain about service, and you look around to see how many tables they are asked to cover...

anyway, I'd most certainly point it out.

Nice rant!

I totally agree with what you've said... some parents seem to believe 'no' is a dirty word to say to a child... but then the child grows up and has no idea how to handle 'no' in the real world, and you see the results.

On employees... when I worked for an insurer, the management team made a huge effort to develop a culture where blame was frowned upon, replacing it with finding solutions, thus generating more than just bitching, and it worked so very well. With my new employer, am thrilled to see they advocate for customers, internal and external. Coworkers are in fact internal customers, and should be treated accordingly. So many never grasp the significance of such a basic concept.

I did not vote for Clinton his second go round because of his treatment of women, not in policy, but in life. I find the current president, who ran on a position of superior morality in 2000 to be worse than Clinton ever dreamed of being. Bill was an overgrown child with the power to play, George is an overgrown child with the power to be vindictive and hateful and to control.

On a brighter note... was at a 7/11 the other day... I leave, pull onto the street, and set at a traffic light. A woman taps on the window... my wallet had fallen out whilst getting in the car.
