Granny's getting her groove back

Well, last night I didn't have any hot water.

BTW, it was cold last night. I was stinky because I had run 5 miles and sat in the sauna at the Y. I had to take a cold bath. I cannot stand cold water hitting the boys, so I had to sit the butt in the cold water instead, which is why I took a bath verses a shower.

Why did I have to take a cold bath? I live in a low rent apartment. I must share a hot water heater. No, I've not mentioned this to the landlord, because I fear he'll raise my rent. I'm not under a lease. I've lived here for almost 4 years and he hasn't gone up on my rent. I know what you are thinking. The apartment is clean inside and out. Actually, I've had compliments on it from coworkers who've visited me. But, I think the rent is low because of the water heater thing. LOL I cannot figure out what other reason would constitute a low rent payment. I was shocked when I found it 4 years ago that it was so cheap. Nice side of the city...great location...clean and neat.

My next door neighbor is a 70+ year old woman. Usually, I suffer the lack of hot water in the mornings. I think she must wash everything in the apartment during the morning hours! Well, yesterday evening, she arrived home with an old man!

I think granny has got her groove back. After not having hot water last night, I muttered useless words and imagined granny and the old man sitting in the bathtub filled with MY HOT WATER sipping apple martinis.

Granny has a better sex life than I do! And, she has the hot water too!

Today after running 6 miles and getting real stinky, I arrived home to check the water temp. It was hot! I hurried and cleaned apartment. I was able to get a hot shower! Yippee! The boys are fine. I think I need a moment. LOL

Haaaa Cute story..... I would rather just wash up in that situation by heating water in a pan on stove and pouring some in the basin and wash up with a cloth and rinse with remaing water.. Sometimes ya gotta rough it, but I do not have to freeze doing it all the time.. If there's electricity ..I'm heating my water on the stove..**Smiles**"CAT"

Yeah, I was trying to be cute. But, I definately shouldn't quit my day job. :)

I bought this huge pot that I use to boil water in if I need a hot bath. But, last night, I was tired. I wanted to get into bed quick. So, I froze the buns quickly for a quick wash off. LOL I threw on the thermals, because afer a cold bath I was shivering. I awoke around 5 am sweating in bed due to having too much clothing on.

Hey, that's life in the poor lane. LOL

It could be worse. I could be in a third world country without hot water all the time. I do like granny. She's cool.

I'm getting ready to email you now.
