Didn't you say you are from Hickory in your persnal ad??

I was looking at the GLBT Bar info for Kim and Courtney and look what I found. I was interested to find out if there was anything in your area since you have been having a rough time. I hope this helps!

Hickory

Area Code (828)

# Club Cabaret,

101 N. Center St., 322.8103

Isn't this your area?? All you have to do is go there or call and tell them you are new to the lesbian community and want some info on the bar and other places to mingle with lesbians.

The people who work at the bars always have the scoop on everything and everyone.

I hope you will check it out!

I am excited to think you have a GLBT Community in your area. Please let me know if this is good.

Maybe there is Hope in Hickory!!

Hugs,

Laurie

(((((RJ)))))

Thank you for your kind words.

I am thinking someday down the road, after you know me of cat better that will could plan a trip. Sort of like meet and greet with other purposes in mind. Like seeing how you like being in other places and look at job and school options. Like finding a company that makes time and pays for your continuing education.

I am glad I can help make you feel comfortable comeiong to the board.

We all post sad things and find support here. I have posted plenty of sad posts.

But you can also post good things and then there are always your stories that are fun to read.

Really meant that I would come and get you. I could fly down and fly back with you or do a road trip. In the military we had sponsors. Anytime you went somewhere new you had a person assigned to help you around. I think it is a perfect way to get people acclimated in a new place.

My g/f has never traveled alone and said it would scare her to death.

Hey, that sounds cool about the trip! You never know how you might like other areas. I dream about Florida all the time, but it doesn't mean I would like living there. Though, I do like warm weather. I like the idea of a sponser. I know that if I had to fly down to FL last Feb. by myself, that would have been quite stressful. My boss had been to FL for those types of meetings before. He knew about both airports and such.

Okay, better run.

Cheers,

rj
