A new addition to the family!

Nothin like a little added chaos to the mix--lol!! Yesterday Sandy and I adopted a new kitty from the humane society... He is a black/brown tabby and we adopted him because we fell in love with him, he needed a nice home and also because we felt it would give Bob the cat some company as he seems to be quite bored now that he is an indoor kitty. We named our new addition "Simon!" He's a cuddly friendly kitty about 3 yrs old but Bob was not impressed!! He and Simon had a cat fight but it was brief...they spent the first night (last night) hissing if the other got too close or if Simon went anywhere near Sandy--lol! Today is better, they can doze on the same sofa and not go after each other so I am hopeful it will work out. Simon is a cuddly guy....and so is Bob so right now we are busy playing Mommy to two kitties! We gotta take some pics and post them for you all to see! Other than that, the visit is going great! We are going out to dinner tonite and then to the casino for a few hours. Wish us luck--on all counts--lol!! Hugs, Lori and Sandy

YAY! How fun! Don't worry Bob and Simon will be snuggling in no time, I hope. LOL

I am happy for you both, what fun!

Hey, that was really nice of you to adopt an older cat from the humane society - I love to hear that. Thank you for being so generous, I wish more people would do that.

Hugs, Sandra

You mean to tell me that the Humane Society adopted out an in tact (un-neutered) male? That's odd. They should have taken care of that, maybe he wasn't there very long? Oh, I hope Mr. Simon doesn't spray in your house! That's a tough scent to get rid of. Get him snipped asap - it will calm him down some too! Have fun with the boys...hugs! Sandra
