I took all my stickers off my car

because I have been almost hit by someone almost every time I drive anywhere. I was curious to see if taking them off made any diff. Well after driving a month w/out any sign of my car being "gay", I have not been in any situation that made me feel like I was being targeted. I hate that. I like to have my stickers on my car. it makes my car (which I hate anyway) MY CAR! I didnt have any that were offensive, just the strip and a cute little squiggle. I live in Ft. Worth and I thought it was a fairly diverse place but I guess I was wrong. I can't wait to move to Arkansas. If you haven't been there, I recommend going to Eureka Springs during one of their little gay thingies they have. It is the most fun! That is where we had our ceremony. On top of it being a very diverse place, it is the most beautiful! But anyway, I just wanted to vent about my stickers. I have even been looking for a rainbow frog sticker. I love frogs! O' well, one day....

Hey Mandi,
I found the same thing happens when I drive my Mini van, which I like for taking dogs to the vet, or shopping etc.
When I drive my red Toyota Celica Gt, no one cuts me off or nearly hits me.
People are prejiduce against mini vans too.
Sorry you have had this experience. But please stay safe.
Hugs,
Laurie

Just curious?is it the stickers....you being targeted for hate?or them not being able to drive cause they are reading them?I have a sports car and have many stickers...have had them on every car I have owned and well don't think it makes me a target personally...My car and stickers are my voice so to speak.I have stickers lots of people would not approve of and in the south(the bible belt)....just was curious....have a good one...Jo Editted for my thought...put the stickers back on and beside it put one that reads "keep honking,I am reloading" and see how that works,lol.....(they actually make one that says that too, lol)

Well, they didn't say anything...just a rainbow strip about 10in long and a rainbow squiggle. They were noticable but I took them off and haven't been hit or almost hit since. I was even in a hit and run about a year ago in my car(a green Ford Contour) and was nipped in the back end when I was in Brandi's truck(ford Ranger) about 6 mths ago, it had the rainbow "girls kick a** sticker on it. They ran too but there wasn't any damage and I didnt have anyone in the truck with me so I didnt push it. come to think about they prob arent after the stickers just my crappy car! I have had worse, this is the only one that I have had that didn't need a sticker saying "honk if pieces fall off"! I try not to have any "bad" stickers cause I have a son that is just starting to read... I love it when he spells out stuff he shouldnt. I cant lie to him when he says what does this spell and then sounds it out. Can't get mad either!

well It just made me think,....was not disagreeing with you and well if your son is learning to read...lol....I am rational and well if a car had "support your local KKK" I would not like it but would not ram it either....I say a sticker that well did make me mad,and I didn't hit him,lol...it said "Marriage"then like the symbols on rest room doors it had a pic of a man and a woman...I wanted to follow him and remove it but I didn't
I had a hit and run about 8 months ago.It was dark and not about my stickers. It was the fact that I said ok,I am calling the po-po and the guy took off....I don't consider my stickers "bad"....I have "bad cop,no dognut" stuff like the ...the rainbow stuff...my gf of 8 months had the "girls rule" and they only accident she has ever had in like 6 years of driving was her fault. The south here is not full of rational people ,ask rj about our rednecks....who mostly end up on jerry springer,or in jail for beating there wives when they aren't on their couch on their porches, drinking RC cola and eatting moonpies....I think accidents are just bad luck and who really wants to crush there car and waste time with cops over a sticker????lol....have a good one and hope you can get the rainbow frog sticker you like( think peacefrogs may have one and they may have a website.... www.peacefrogs.com maybe...not sure......Jo

This thread makes me think of a good friend who has many bumper stickers. She has the rainbow/pride stickers, the "tree hugging dirt worshiper" sticker, but in the middle of all these stickers she has one that reads "next time wave all your fingers at me".
