You know, if I had my own blog, I could tell about about my mole surgery of Dec. 1 blogger style. But, I don't have time for a blog. So, I'll just drive you ladies crazy instead. :)

I had two moles removed on Wednesday, Dec. 1. You know, I thought this was going to be siimple. NOT! I had one on the back of my neck near my hairline removed and one under my arm.

When the lady doctor- btw the way, she was HOT arrived in the room, the first thing she did was measure the moles. She decided to get the neck mole first. I had to lie on my stomach for it. You know, the neck mole was a cinch! She said several times- "This may hurt." It never did. All I felt was a pushing motion on my neck and that's it. So, when it was time to get the underarm mole, I thought- this will be a breeze. NOT!

The underarm mole removal wasn't painful, but rather uncomfortable. The needle for numbing felt like it was penetrating my entire arm. And, while she was removing the mole, I could feel her movements. I could feel the flesh. I could feel the stitches. It was nasty feeling people.

Finally, she got the small skin tags and red spot with a laser. I had burn marks or what looked like burn marks for almost two days on my neck. That procedure wasn't bad. It wasn't covered under my insurance like the moles, so I had to pay $50. It was difficult to wash the burn marks because the area was so tender.

Overall, the underarm mole has been the most difficult here. Wednesday night, my underarm throbbed all night. I refused to take aspirin, because I didn't want to seem wimpy. It hurts to put a shirt on and to put a jacket on. But, get this- I can lift weights. Strange. I don't understand that. You would think that lifting weights would hurt too.

What surprises me the most is the work involved. I must clean the areas twice a day and rebandage them. I've had so much trouble bandaging the back of my neck. Two ladies at work felt sorry for me and helped me bandage on Thursday and Friday. Today and Sunday, I'm on my own. LOL I keep getting the bandage in my hair! I get so mad. I've wasted 3 bandages already! Bandages are expensive. When I rebandage, I must put Polysporin on the areas. Try and do that on your neck. I had no idea I would have to do all this stuff.

I get the stitches removed on Dec. 13. Oh, both places took 3 stitches each. Actually, these are my first stitches ever. :)

The doctor lady as I mentioned before was HOT. She was a tiny little woman. M'mm.. Anyway, while she was removing my underarm mole, she began talking to me. She told me that for Thanksgiving, she went mountain biking. I thought--WOW! this little woman mountain bikes. For sure, I knew I could find her attractive now. But, when a lady is cutting on you, it is hard to get aroused. Or, perhaps I should say it is hard for me to get aroused when being cut on. LOL

Okay, it is time for me to go and hunt some new running shoes. BTW- I got a Christmas bonus at work yesterday! And, the manager complimented me on the great work I've been doing.

Here is a picture of my underarm stitches:

Well rj, ya know, I wanted to see the stitches but the link wouldn't let me, maybe it's me. Anyway, I'm glad that you had your moles removed. Women Doctors are hot aren't they?

I know my doctor is very hot, but, ~sigh~ we're not able to speak to each other unless it's my medical issues, but that doesn't stop me from flirting with her.

Thanks for sharing that.

Hugs,

Sebastian

I couldn't see it either.

Do take proper care of the spots though. I had two moles removed several years ago - one on my back shoulder that was too hard to reach and rebandage, so I didn't bother with it. Now I have a giant ugly scar there that won't go away.

every great journey begins with one step

Hi rj,
A very good story that was.
I wonder why the arm pitt one is so sensitive, maybe more nerves there.
At least they are gone.
How did the skin tag removal go. I want a couple taken off too. They catch on my clothing and hurt. One is so small but very irritating.
I hate them.
Glad you got everything taken care of.
Hugs,
Laurie

I'm not 100% sure why the underarm stitches are more sensitive. I can only guess that it would be the fact that they "move" more. Plus, the skin is more tender in that area than the neck.

My neck stitiches began itching on Friday. It about drove me nuts. I cannot rub the stitiches. Finally, at one point during the workday, I began whispering in a singing voice, "scratch-itch-scratch-itch..." and so on. Well, a lady sitting in a cubical near me hears this and asks what is up with me. LOL
