Sorry I have been AWOL - our trip to PR was a bit of a nightmare - it rained almost every day - there was very little water(ironically) because the water company workers were on strike, my MIL drove me nuts (you should feed them this, you should use a bigger spoon, etc. arrrgh!) I could not wait to come home. The kids were great on the plane though.
Well believe it or not we just celebrated their first birthday this past Saturday. I cannot believe they are a year old. I think I cried every day for two weeks before the day! Time really flies.
The kids are healthy but they are very small (I have to go back to the doc next month) they did not gain any weight in 3 months. Joseph and Anna are both a little over 17 lbs and Anthony about a little over 19. My 10 month old nephew is 24lbs. to put things in perspective. I felt like a very bad mom - but we are going to try our best to fatten them up. They are just so active!
I hope eveyone is doing well, I would love to read the archives to catch up but I really don't have the time I need to do anything!
I have tons of photos on Snapfish but do not know the best way to share them with you all. Any suggestions?
Love,
Tee

I think at this point, considering that they were preemies and triplets, they are probably not too small.

My first was 3 days early, but my second was 3 weeks early. I had pretty severe toxemia with the second. She is 3 now and weighs about 32 pounds. I am a small person, so I think I was destined to have small babies, health issues aside.
Glad yours are healthy

Hello,
I wouldn't worry about the kids. Their weight sounds normal for a set of triplets. I have three of my own but have raised at least 30 others ( I have an in-home daycare) so I have seen it all.
You say they are active so they must be developing normally. As long as that keeps up they are perfectly fine so don't worry yourself. Some of these doctors want everything to be perfect and life just isn't that way. I currently have a little girl that had a small heart defect when she was born so she was a little late in her development. She just turned two and weighs 17 pounds and is the size of a 1 year old but everything else about her is right on target.
So.....good things do come in small packages.
